ONAM is one of the festival mainly celebrated in kerala and some parts of TamilNadu.Onam is an annual Hindu festival with origins in the state of Kerala in IndiaIt falls in the Malayalam calendar month of Chingam, which in Gregorian calendar overlaps with August–September.Onam festival is clebrated by all religions mostly by hindus.Onam function is begin 2020 in August 22 and ends in September 2.The Kerala government gives one week holiday for schools and colleges .

Onam food mainly include rice .The usual items in the Onam lunch include banana chips,yam chips,jaggery coated banana chips,mango pickle,lime pickle,tamarind and ginger chutney,kichadi which means Gourd in mildly spiced yoghurt,and also pachadi which means pineapple in yoghurt and some peoples add chicken with Onam food.
